We had Europass Teacher Academy course in Valencia, Spain febryary 23rd - 29th 2026.
Topic was ICT and Outdoor Teaching and Learning.
22.2.26 we left our pressures home and head to Helsinki by train. The train trip went fine- fortunately and we succeeded to reach our flight in time. In Tampere we had a little break and had time for coffee. The first flight was to Amsterdam. KLM company got ten points for flying us. Cabin crew was very friendly and snacks they served were very good. Then we hopped to Transavian flight. Wasn’t that pleased for the service. After flight to Valencia we still need to use local metro and try to find keys to our hotel.
On Monday the course starts. We have members from Romania, Slovakia, France and Poland. At first was the battle to do us as a team. Three teams had to make structure of spaghetti and marshmallows. Then we needed to make a card in which we needed to paste pictures writing and photos… after that we made music to that picture with AI.
Long walk in garden of Turia. Turia has been a river going across the town, but it was removed from city center after big flood. And after they moved rives place, they planted a garden there.
On Tuesday went to visit the Great Mall ”Colon”. Fresh vegetables, meat and fish, souvenirs and so on.

And then we visited Art Museum Everestin and we looked at València Art competition works. There were 800 works competing. The artpieces were made of cork. There was a competition which artwork wins. All the other, loosing works will ne burnt after the competition.
In the afternoon we went to Oseanographic. So much to see, alligators, turtoises, many kind of birds and sharks, penquins etc. We were suppose to go to beach but the whole day was so exhausted that we just went to sleep.
On Wednesday we started at nine at Teachers Academy. We rehearsed how to do a poem of a picture and then let AI to make it music.
After that we went to Túria garden, tried to identify plants by AI. We picked up leaves and flowers and made a film of them by using AI programme for it. In the afternoon we had interesting city walk with Maria del Mar. She truly know what she told us; about Valencias past and nowadays. Weather was quite cold+14 only and windy.
On Thursday was Notebook time. I'm surprised that never ever has anyone said from that program. And you truly can do your hours to school with that application. And it helps you if you need any help at all. Then we had Goose hunt in the city. Nice application for all kinds of exploring.
On Friday we had foto competition. Katja’s fotos won!!! We needed to take a picture live this week and another one to make with AI. That's what it was all about.
At the end we got our certifications and was free to continue experiences which were meant to do on Saturday. Anyway we went for a coffee with our Romanian and Slovenian and French teachers, witch became friends to us.
And on Saturday we went to lagune to explore nature. We also had the best paella in Lahiver restaurant.
Then few museums and Fallet Ninot Ride. What an experience it was!
On Sunday morning taxi picked us up to the airport. Our Colombian driver was nice but did not speak any English. Now we on a flight to Amsterdam. Still few minutes left. All has gone well so far. We still have another flight, three trains and driving home from the railway station. Almost 24 hours to travel... but it has been worth it!!
